With everyone being new to the sport, Joel started in the fall of 2003 teaching those interested and available how to throw, catch, and basic offense and defensive strategies. Those people, combined with all others that joined in the spring, began a new Lakota tradition. We finished the season at 2-9, but we actually only a few points away from a winning year. 2005 brought new success to the team. We finished YUC season at 11-2, losing both games to the Home School team including a heart-breaker in the championship game. We went on to finish 5th at the Ohio championships. During the summer of 2005, we placed 5 players on the Cincinnati area select team, OCD, which placed 5th at the North American championships. In 2006, we returned a strong group of players and finished the season 13-5. We placed second in the YUC tournament as well as second at state, losing in the championship game both times to the Home School team. During the summer, we placed 6 players on the Cincinnati area select team, OCD, which went 6-1 and placed second at the North American Championships.
